August
July/August are the peak holiday months. In common with the mountain areas in the rest of Central Europe, there can be periods of heavy rain, sometimes even exciting thunder storms. But the rain often comes at night. Days are mostly hot, sunny and dry.
The peak of the summer medieval festival season is late July/early August. The high point of the village year is the Ludwigshoehfest on the 2nd weekend in August – beer festival, shooting competition and medieval market. From this point on, with the days getting shorter, the evenings are a little cooler.
Weather in August 2007-2008:
- Average daytime temperature: 23-24°C
- Average nightime temperature: 11-12°C
- No. of days with rain: 7-10
