Beside the Danube, the fresh green leaves of the deciduous trees contrast with the dark green of the conifers
Easter weekend is busy. There are local events – especially the Easter horse parade in Regen and the Easter Craft Fair and Market in Plzen.
If Easter is early or the winter snow has been heavy there can still be skiing at Easter weekend and walks through the snowy forest. The Arber cable car usually closes for maintenance at the end of the Easter weekend and reopens for the summer in early May.
After Easter, the spring walking season gets underway, although the village is still not full. Some restaurants and attractions close again after the Easter holidays until the beginning of May.
